A Singles Event (Soiree) is a space where you can meet available, interested singles from the M|M community. Unlike “speed dating”, there is no awkward moving from table to table. This is more of a casual mixer or hangout environment where you’re free to move as you wish (as long as you follow the rules!)
This no-pressure environment is designed to allow you to connect with people without the awkwardness of having to ask for contact information. All you do is write down the info of the person you are interested in on your “Flirt Card”, hand it in at the end of the event and if you get a match (you like them, they like you), we’ll put the two fo you in touch within 48 hours. The rest is up to you!
As you likely know, dating is difficult and when you add in being melanated…well, it’s even worse. Dating apps are no better and many of the most eligible, and hot singles have just thrown their hands up in the air in frustration. This is designed to eradicate that frustration and create more opportunities for melanated people to find love
Well, just a few:
Don’t ask for someone’s number. We will do the matching for you; it’s like swiping right but in person.
Don’t monopolize people’s time. If you like someone, great! Write their flirt number down, but be sure you spend time chatting with as many people as you can.
Keep it classy.
Events will include game nights, karaoke, dancing, painting studio events, hiking, and much more! Each event will have it’s own cost, and will give you an opportunity to see some of the people who are in the M|M community.
